It’s been a while since my last blog post, to say the least. Even those of you who are long-time followers may not notice that my blog looks a little different than the last time you saw it. But the ongoing makeover is for more than cosmetic reasons. The change is the first part of a decision prompted by my need to rectify the infrequent updates. I realised that the principal cause for my lack of updates was the narrow focus of the blog. When I started the blog, it was my intention to use it to chart the progress of my writing and publishing career. This objective has made it difficult to come up with new posts because there is only so many times I can submit an update basically saying the same thing: that I’m currently focussed on my WIP.
Hey people! I realise it has been a long time since my last blog post, and longer still since I was last able to post updates on a regular basis, but I want to assure you that I haven’t abandoned my blog. I hope it goes without saying that the lack of activity is not the result of laziness on my part. On the contrary, this year I’ve been so busy with other matters I haven’t even had time to keep up with the blogs I follow never mind keep my own updated regularly. But the time has finally come to rectify that state of affairs.
During the weekend just gone I came to the realisation that I don’t blog nearly enough; certainly not as much as I should. And though it’s true that in person I am a man of very few words, it’s not as though I don’t have anything worthwhile to say with the written word. To remedy this situation (caused by laziness on my part) I’ve decided to commit to posting updates a minimum of three days a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If I can keep to that on a regular basis I’ll even consider trying to make it a daily thing (but baby steps first).
