Who Is lonelyboy1977?

Believe it or not my name isn’t actually lonelyboy1977, it is, in fact, Ian Gregoire. My journey began as a seven year old when C.S. Lewis inspired me to step inside my wardrobe in a futile attempt to get to Narnia after reading The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe. This book was not only the catalyst for my affection for fantasy literature, more importantly than that it sparked my love for storytelling; a hobby that (along with reading) has consistently remained an inate part of who I am since early childhood.

Throughout my childhood and all through adolescence I always assumed my hobby would turn into my career. But when I dropped out of university as a twenty year old the brake was pulled on that assumption. On several occasions over the intervening years I flirted with the idea of resuming that pursuit but always came up with some pretext not to do so.

To cut a long story short, 2014 was the year I finally stopped denying my true calling as a storyteller and began my quest to live the rest of my days as a fantasy and science fiction author. The journey is by no means complete, but the first step has been taken and this blog will chart the remainder of that journey. It is my hope that someday soon I will become your favourite fantasy and science fiction author.

    • Thank you calmgrove. And I’m currently writing three reviews and a couple of opinion pieces for Another World at the moment, so I’ll try to post them over the next few days.
