Hey people! I realise it has been a long time since my last blog post, and longer still since I was last able to post updates on a regular basis, but I want to assure you that I haven’t abandoned my blog. I hope it goes without saying that the lack of activity is not the result of laziness on my part. On the contrary, this year I’ve been so busy with other matters I haven’t even had time to keep up with the blogs I follow never mind keep my own updated regularly. But the time has finally come to rectify that state of affairs.

For those of you who are unaware (or have forgotten) I have been hard at work writing my second novel, The Apprentice In The Master’s Shadow, which is the sequel to my unsung debut novel, The Exercise Of Vital Powers. The manuscript is now much closer to completion so I feel it’s appropriate to start preparing the groundwork for the book’s eventual release this winter—though I still haven’t set a publication date yet. Coming out of hiding is obviously the first order of business, hence this post, but you can look forward to more frequent updates between now and the end of the year.

To end this post I want to draw your attention to The Exercise Of Vital Powers being on sale this week just £0.99/$0.99/€0.99 from Amazon, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo. As I’m sure all of you have already purchased and read it long ago, perhaps you could bring the sale to the attention of friends, relatives or anyone else you know who may be interested in “The cautionary tale of a precocious anti-heroine possessing great magical abilities who must learn the dangers and consequences of abusing power.” that’s still slowly garnering positive reviews.

If for some strange reason you are a follower who has not yet read the novel, do yourself a favour by clicking the PURCHASE LINK before the sale ends.

Thanks for reading,
Ian
