I’m not usually the kind of person who makes plans for the future―principally because in year’s gone by I’ve learned through bitter experience that if I make plans for my future someone or something will pull the rug out from underneath me, and ruin everything. As a result, I’ve spent the last two decades of my life simply existing in the moment without a view to the future. However, in recent weeks my mindset has shifted, dramatically. Not only am I much happier about life in general, I’m also (much to my surprise) greatly looking forward to what the future may bring, particularly with regard to my continuing adventure as an indie author. It is for this reason I’ve been happily making exciting (to me at least) plans for next year.
So where am I going with this post, you might ask. Well, in a nutshell, thanks to my participation in this year’s Self-Published Fantasy Blog Off there is growing interest in my future writing endeavours; interest I feel is now sufficient enough to warrant the setting up of a mailing list to keep readers informed of my future plans. That mailing list is now up and running, so anyone interested in subscribing can do so right away; there is a link in the menu bar above, as well as at the bottom of this post.
For readers who choose to subscribe to my mailing list here is a brief overview of what you can expect to receive, starting in the new year. First of all, I will be sending out a quarterly newsletter to keep people abreast of the status and progress of current and future writing projects. Subscribers will also be given advance notice of such things as beta reading opportunities, the sending out of ARCs, early access to new releases, and notifications of special deals on books etc. So, basically the kind of things typically sent out by authors to readers who subscribe to their mailing list.
In closing, all the usual caveats apply: You can unsubscribe at any time; your email address won’t be sold to third parties; and I won’t spam you with daily emails.
Thanks for reading,
